Consistency Over Perfection

At NCFIT, we are officially in our Tempo / Strict Strength Cycle! The next three months will center around building a STRONG base with our classic strength and strict gymnastics movements.

So whether you are trying to lose fat, gain muscle, or build a strong base to increase performance, NOW is the time to download the NCFIT App and jump on board!

Now, let’s talk about something else you probably already know, but we always seem to forget — you don’t need to be perfect to reach your goals. You just have to be consistent.

The 3-Week Rule

The "3-Week Rule" states that missing one or a few scheduled workouts does not significantly impact your progress. It is common for people to worry about their routines and habits, but life can be unpredictable, and there may be times when you cannot make it to the gym.

We’ve all been there. Injuries, family obligations, or unforeseeable circumstances happen, and often, they are outside of our control. However, research shows that it takes an average of three weeks to lose strength and muscle after a break from exercise.

THREE WHOLE WEEKS.

People often underestimate the body's resiliency, whether related to missed workouts or indulging in a large meal. Maintaining consistency in your exercise routine is essential, but it is not necessary to be perfect.

Even a few short walks can have a positive impact on your health. When you miss a workout, it is important to get back into your routine and not stress over the missed session. With a commitment to regular exercise, nothing can stop you from achieving your health goals.

The only that can stop you is YOU. If you let a missed workout turn into a missed week turn in into a missed month — that is how you end up falling well short of your goals.
